Historical outline:

Former name: Friedland

In Mieroszów probably existed the castle built by duke Bolko I of Świdnica-Jawor. It is assumed that it stood in the place of today’s St. Michael parish church. A presumed time of constructing the church was 1280, whereas the stronghold was to be demolished during the Hussite wars in 1427.
