Driving down the road no 727 from Szydłowiec for Przysucha you drive through Chlewiska. In the place it is enough to follow the main road, as to notice the Palace of the Odrowąż family (a hotel and a restaurant) on the right side.
Historical outline:
The starts of a present palace in Chlewiska date back to the XIIth cent. when at that place existed a wooden borough of Piotr Dunin. Not long after, during the reign of Kazimierz Wielki, a neighboring lands became the property of the Odrowąż family, who at the end of the XVth cent. constructed the castle in Chlewiska. The Odrowąż family resided in the place until the XVIIth cent., with time assuming the surname – Chlewicki, from the name of the place. Starting from the XVIIIth cent. the castle was often changing hands, who equally often were converting it into comfortable and fashionable mansions. That way arose an existing till today palace, which in 1999 was bought by the company utilizing it up to this day.
